Our monthly Star Awards celebrate an outstanding individual and team from across the Trust each month, celebrating members of Team North West Anglia who exhibit outstanding qualities that align with our Trust values. Nominations for our monthly Star Awards come from staff, who nominate colleagues and teams who they feel have gone above and beyond in their role.
Meet Sarah, your November Star Award winner!
Meet your November Individual of the Month, Star Award winner.... Sarah Carter!
Sarah was chosen as our November Star Award winner because of how she goes above and beyond to enhance the experience of patients and their loved ones in SCBU.
Throughout Sarah's nomination there was a theme of not just providing fantastic care, but of constantly finding opportunities to enhance the experience of our patients, regardless of the time of the year. Sarah works tirelessly to raise funds for gifts for families who have their babies at Christmas, puts on walks and events for Easter, in summer and world prematurity day. As well as this, Sarah runs a baby group for parents which they can attend after they are discharged from home.
Sarah's nominator, Fiona spoke highly of her colleague, "I honestly could not put into words all that she does for staff and families on SCBU and throughout the hospital. Everyone knows Sarah, and if anything needs doing, finding, sourcing Sarah is the one that will be able to help. An absolute star we would be lost without her and I feel she should know this."
