Our Chaplaincy team is here to support everyone at our hospital, including patients, visitors, and staff. We believe that pastoral and spiritual well-being is a vital part of health and healing, so we offer compassionate and sensitive pastoral, spiritual, and religious care to all, regardless of their beliefs, faith, culture, or nationality. Our goal is to help every person find strength, comfort, and hope during times of illness, injury, or personal circumstances.
Supported by multi-faith leaders and a dedicated team of volunteers, we provide a variety of services, including listening, caring, and offering emotional support. We respect the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of all individuals at all times.
Many of us are members of various committees and groups, sharing in discussions about ethical issues, dignity and respect, holistic care and on all spiritual, pastoral and religious matters, as well as learning and development and education.
For those who wish, we can also offer prayer, Holy Communion, and other religious services at the bedside. Our team is available during regular working hours, and an on-call service is in place for emergencies outside of these times.
For details of the teams at each of our sites, please see below.
We operate a 24 hour Trust wide on-call service with a duty chaplain always available for urgent needs or referrals. We welcome regular referrals from patients, staff, families, carers and clergy.

The Chapel
The chapel is on the main corridor on the ground floor - just look out for the signs. It is open day and night and all are welcome there for times of quiet reflection or prayer. The Chapel Garden is also always open and a place of beauty and peace.
We hold a variety of services each week and all are welcome:
On the first Wednesday on each month from 11am, we hold a short service of remembrance for those who have sadly experienced early baby loss.
We have special services throughout the year: baptisms, renewal of wedding vows, the Trust Carol Service in December and memorial services.
