Meet your November Star Award, Team of the Month.... The Mortuary Team. 

The team were picked for the award because of their incredible teamwork,  the improvements they have made and the efficiency they work with in what can be distressing and challenging situations. They have been constantly evolving over recent years, streamlining processes and condensing tasks. They have recently eliminated 80% of paperwork from their administrative tasks, improving the efficiency as well as making cost savings and improving the environmental impact of the department.

The team's nominator, Deputy Bereavement and Mortuary Manager, Edward Lee has been delighted with the way the team constantly strive for improvement; "They have an insatiable appetite for improvement, of both processes within the department and of themselves. Their attitude towards work is admirable, extending beyond job roles and focussing on the wider goal. They encourage and support each other on a daily basis, striving to be the best that they can, ensuring our patients and relatives receive the exceptional care they deserve.

"The strength of the team and the bond that they share when dealing with some very distressing and challenging situations elevates them far above any team I have ever worked with. No task or suggested change is ever met with grumbles or disagreement. Instead, they relish the opportunity to improve their department, taking pride in developing the service. Every single member is passionate about the work that they do and the difference that they make."
