
Our monthly Star Awards celebrate an outstanding individual and team from across the Trust each month, celebrating members of Team North West Anglia who exhibit outstanding qualities that align with our Trust values. Nominations for our monthly Star Awards come from staff, who nominate colleagues and teams who they feel have gone above and beyond in their role.
Meet your December Star Award, Team of the Month.... The Safeguarding and Learning & Disability Team. The team were picked for the award because of their incredible resilience and teamwork, supporting one another through difficult times, huge workloads and delicate cases.
Safeguarding is a role that can often go unseen by our patients and service users, yet it is at the heart of every interaction, every situation across our hospitals, its importance cannot be forgotten. The team work tirelessly to keep our patients safe ensuring that every patient, regardless of their circumstance, has an enhanced experience that is as accessible as possible. The team work hard to support adults, children and patients with learning disabilities and autism.
Not only do the team support patients, they have a vital role in supporting our staff who are affected by safeguarding cases, ensuring that they receive the correct supervision and have a space to reflect and discuss the case in a safe environment. The team work hard to ensure that staff are able to maintain professional standards in relation to safeguarding but are also able to support colleagues and patients wellbeing.
The team are vital to ensuring that safeguarding is every staff members business, and they do this with such dedication, compassion and professionalism.
