Shortlist Success at the National BAME Health and Care Awards for local hospital

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is celebrating the achievements of two members of staff who have been shortlisted in the National BAME Health and Care Awards.

Women wearing blue uniform standing in front of a rainbow mural smiling Angela Johnson, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion midwife has been shortlisted in the BAME Midwife of the year category and is one of three nominees. Dr Zwesty Rimba has been shortlisted in the Junior Doctor of the Year category and is one of two nominees.

The awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of BAME staff and allies across the health and care fields in making significant improvements in career development for Black, Asian and minority ethnic staff. They’ve been developed to celebrate the progress in supporting BAME staff to come into their own.

The event will be held on Monday 28 September at 6pm and we wish Angela and Dr Rimba the best of luck.
