Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 22-28 January 2024

During a career which has so far spanned over quarter of a century, consultant Jyoti Shah has been honoured with an MBE for her services to medicine and work in the screening and diagnosis of cancer patients in the community.

Local families in need were able to celebrate Christmas thanks to a record number of gifts donated to the Giving Tree Appeal which was supported by North West Anglia Hospitals Charity for the first time this year.

With statistics revealing that one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime – local men are being invited to board a one-stop prostate health check bus. The community clinic-style initiative is being spearheaded by NWAFT surgeon Jyoti Shah MBE.

An annual Ladies Charity Lunch - attended by businesswomen from in and around Peterborough, Huntingdon and Stamford - has raised £16,500 for Peterborough City Hospital's Breast Unit.
