Council of Governors for local hospitals to meet in public

Members of the public are invited to join the Council of Governors meeting taking place at Hinchingbrooke Hospital on Monday 20 October 2025.

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Peterborough City, Hinchingbrooke and Stamford and Rutland Hospitals, will host its Council of Governors meeting in the Education Centre at Hinchingbrooke at 1.30pm.

The agenda for the meeting features a focus upon the drive to ensure Fundamental standards of care within the trust’s Emergency Departments. It will also include an update on the outcome of recent elections to vacancies on the Council of Governors, which has seen eight new governors appointed to be the voice of patients and members of local communities.

Professor Steve Barnett, OBE, Chair of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We will be pleased to welcome the public to our meeting in person. I also look forward to welcoming our new recruits who will attend the meeting as part of their induction process.”

The papers for the meeting will shortly be available here: Our Trust Council of Governors | NW Anglia Website (nwangliaft.nhs.uk)
