Sinead Lynch - Outstanding Contribution to Patient and/or Staff Safety

Sinead Lynch, Gap Grow Midwife, recently received runner up in the East of England Maternity Awards for Midwife of the Year, 2024. This hasn’t been her only impressive achievement, Sinead has also driven improvements to ensure that the maternity department are meeting set targets to improve neonatal outcomes.

We are now above the national target and just under the top 10 units in the country - which is amazing! Sinead has improved training for fetal surveillance and is always on hand to train staff at the drop of a hat. She also delivers education sessions about saving babies lives. Well done Sinead, we are lucky to have you!
