We want to say a huge congratulations to Emergency Department Sister, Charlotte Carney who has won the Outstanding Achievement Award for Outstanding Leadership!

Charlotte, who works as the nurse in charge in the department, has been commended by her colleagues for her outstanding leadership qualities, her calmness under pressure and her professionalism when making important decisions quickly, in a very demanding and often extremely busy department.

For her colleagues in the Emergency Department, Charlotte’s leadership skills go much further than just the qualities she possesses to lead the team. They have expressed how supportive and caring Charlotte is with them, patients and patients' loved ones in the department, and when things get very hectic and busy, it is Charlotte who is there on hand to provide a calmness that resonates across the department.
