North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is asking former and current patients to nominate their ‘Health Hero’ staff member for a special award, to be presented at the Trust’s Outstanding Achievement Awards in October.

The Health Hero category recognises individuals who have made a real difference to the lives of patients and their families, and who represent the Trust’s Values in being caring and compassionate whilst delivering outstanding healthcare.

 “This category is such an important part of our staff awards,” says Caroline Walker, Chief Executive. “It is an illustration of the heartfelt thanks from patients who have spent time being treated in our hospitals. I see this every day with the amazing and dedicated workforce our Trust has, but for it to be recognised by our patients and for them to take the time to nominate that person, is really special.”

The deadline to nominate a Health Hero is Friday 25 August 2023. Please complete the online form and include as much detail as possible in your submission. You can nominate someone as the patient yourself or as friends or relatives of someone who has been seen or treated in one of our hospitals in the last 12 months.

The Trust’s Outstanding Achievement Awards ceremony will take place on 13 October and we will announce winners following the event.
